A few months back I began working with affiliates to provide banner content and discount codes for my fellow readers. As an avid makeup enthusiast I am always looking for a great product to use not only on myself but on clients as well. I was excited to hear from one of my affiliates that they would gladly provide a product from their line for me to review for my followers.
Mommy Makeup was started by Debra Rubin-Roberts, a Makeup Artist and Mom of 2, who realized that there are way too many steps to apply makeup to create a flawless face. The Mommy Makeup line was invented to minimize the steps and time taken to apply your makeup and create the finish look. By reducing 13 individual products down to 6 multitasking ones, she has in my opinion effectively changed how I see makeup application.
After intently searching the Mommy Makeup website and looking all the at all the products offered I decided to go with a product that was for every shade and skin type available. I choose the Mineral Bronze-n-Blush Pressed Duo. The package is cute, depicting a mother pushing a child in a stroller as she’s applying her makeup on the go. Basically every on the go mother, multitasking to get several things done at one time.
The Mineral Bronze-n-Blush Duo only comes in one shade with the line Nice-n-Natural, promoted as suitable for every shade. Now I must admit, upon testing this on my hand in a swatch I wasn’t too impressed with it at first. I thought the blush was too light, not enough to show on darker skin tones. The bronzer, I felt there was just something missing. Though beautiful in the right light I wasn’t overly impressed, until I used them. Boy, Oh boy was I wrong!
Not only does it contour with ease and give a nice warm to the face, it creates a nice wash of color to the cheeks as well. The photos shown here are of two different days but still the use of the Mineral Bronze-n-Blush Duo. Pared with a highlight it creates a stunning look. Whether it’s more natural or dramatic, you can use this duo to achieve a great look. I hope I did this justice! I can’t wait to try out the other products!
Debra Rubin-Roberts and her Mommy Makeup line are offering a special discount to all my followers and friends.

Very little has been said about the palette so far but there has been plenty of generated buzz about it. SugarPill sent out care packages to many Instagramers and YouTube Vloggers over the past week. I’m sure we’ll see tutorials and reviews on the palette, coming up real soon! The Cold Chemistry was launched at the Imats show in Los Angles, CA (reasonably sure about that). It was launched as individual shadows not a full palette.
The colors are Diamond Eyes (pearly white), Elemental Chaos (pearly plum), Subterranean (metallic forest green), & Soot & Stars (metallic smoke grey).
Placed on top of a white base such as NYX’s Milk pencil they show up pigmented and stunning.
I don’t personally have the Cold Chemistry Palette, since it wasn’t in palette form at the PhamExpo in Pasadena, CA, I got the Pro Palette instead (review coming soon). I can say I am definitely on the SugarPill bandwagon and can’t wait to get my hands on it!
If you have it let me know what you think!!
